What it does

A token-launch hook that charges a hard-coded 0.50%-1.50% ETH fee on buys and exact-input sells (smaller tokens pay more, larger market caps pay less), shared between the creator and protocol, with exact-output sells disallowed and LP withdrawals unaffected.

This read was written for the hook 0xc078…00c4 on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Charges an ETH-denominated fee on every buy and sell of a launched token, with the fee rate falling as the token's market cap grows (1.50% down to 0.50%).
  • On buys, the fee is charged as the pool's LP fee on the ETH input and accrues to the locked launch liquidity position, collected later by the locker.
  • On exact-input sells, the fee is skimmed from the ETH output and held in the hook until the locker pulls it at collect time.
  • Tracks a creator vs protocol split (40% to 76% to the creator depending on market cap) for later payout by the locker.
  • Tracks graduation progress of the bonding-curve position; the factory can mark a pool graduated once enough ETH has accumulated.
Swap behaviour
Buys pay a dynamic LP fee of 0.50%-1.50% on the ETH input; exact-input sells pay 0.50%-1.50% taken from the ETH received. Exact-output sells (specifying how much ETH to receive) are rejected; unregistered pools are unaffected.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks; LPs can add and withdraw freely.
Fee behaviour
Fee is fixed by market-cap tier: 1.50% below ~5.2 ETH MC, 1.40%, 1.25%, 0.90%, down to 0.50% above ~3,333 ETH MC; graduated pools never drop below the graduation tier rate. Fees go to the locker, which splits them between the token creator (40%-76%) and the protocol.
Owner & admin controls
No owner can change fees; the schedule is hard-coded. The immutable factory registers pools and marks graduation, and the immutable locker withdraws accumulated sell fees.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: sets the tiered ETH LP fee on buys, zero fee on sells, and blocks exact-output sells; afterSwap: records buy fees and takes the sell fee in ETH; afterSwapReturnDelta: deducts the sell fee from the ETH output.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, high confidence).

Who controls it: The factory and locker addresses are set at deployment and cannot be changed; they can only register pools, mark graduation, and collect accrued fees. No one can change fee rates or pause swaps.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes 0.50%-1.50% of each trade in ETH and only holds accrued sell fees. It has no remove-liquidity callbacks, so LP withdrawals cannot be blocked or charged.

Security findings

  • [info] Hard-coded fee schedule: Swap fees are fixed in code between 0.50% and 1.50% based on market cap; no admin can raise them.
  • [low] Exact-output sells blocked: Sells that specify an exact ETH output revert, so some routers must use exact-input sells instead.
  • [info] Sell fees held in hook: Sell-fee ETH sits in the hook until the fixed locker address pulls it; only accrued fees are held, not LP principal.
