What it does
Routes swaps through a matching PancakeSwap V3 pool and charges a fixed fee of at most 1%, which four exempt direct callers skip, while blocking v4 liquidity deposits and having no admin keys.
This read was written for the hook 0xdfab…6888 on Arbitrum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.
How it works step by step
- Routes every swap on its v4 pools to a matching PancakeSwap V3 pool on Arbitrum, so trades use that external liquidity instead of v4 LP positions.
- Each v4 pool is tied at creation to one PancakeSwap V3 pool with the same tokens, fee tier and tick spacing; native ETH pools are rejected.
- Charges an optional aggregator fee, fixed at deployment and capped at 1%, on the swap's output (exact-in) or input (exact-out), sent to an immutable vault.
- Up to four fixed addresses are fee-exempt, but only when they call the PoolManager directly.
- Blocks anyone from adding liquidity to its v4 pools, and anyone can sweep leftover dust in the hook to the vault.
- Swap behaviour
- The hook runs the whole swap against the linked PancakeSwap V3 pool with no price limit, then takes a fixed fee of at most 1% from the unspecified side (less output for exact-in, more input for exact-out) unless the caller is one of the exempt addresses. Slippage protection relies on the router, because the hook swaps up to the extreme price limit.
- Liquidity behaviour
- Adding liquidity always reverts, so no LP positions can exist in these v4 pools. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block withdrawals.
- Fee behaviour
- A deploy-time fixed fee from 0% to a hard cap of 1% of the unspecified-side amount, rounded up, goes to an immutable vault address. The PancakeSwap V3 pool's own fee tier also applies, and exempt direct callers pay no hook fee.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin controls found. Fee rate, vault and exempt addresses are immutable and set only at deployment, with the fee capped at 1%.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize links the new v4 pool to its matching PancakeSwap V3 pool; beforeAddLiquidity always reverts to forbid LP deposits; beforeSwap executes the trade on the external pool; beforeSwapReturnDelta replaces the v4 pool's pricing with the external result and the fee.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: low, estimated (decoded bytecode, high confidence).
Who controls it: There is no owner or admin key; all parameters are immutable. The only privilege is fee exemption for up to four fixed addresses calling the PoolManager directly.
Risk to user funds: The hook only handles a trader's swap amounts during the atomic swap and takes at most 1% as a fee to the vault. No LP funds exist in these pools, and withdrawals cannot be blocked.
Security findings
- [info] Immutable fee capped at 1%: The aggregator fee is fixed at construction, cannot exceed 1%, and has no setter or owner.
- [info] No v4 LP liquidity allowed: Liquidity additions always revert, so there is no LP principal in these pools to lock or drain.
- [low] No hook-level price limit: The external swap uses the widest possible price limit, so users must rely on their router's minimum-output or maximum-input checks.
