What it does
This hook routes swaps in its v4 pool through a linked external v3-style pool, charging a capped hook fee to most traders while a few exempt addresses pay no hook fee, and it does not restrict withdrawals.
How it works step by step
- Routes swaps in its v4 pool through a linked external Uniswap v3-style (concentrated liquidity) pool instead of v4 liquidity.
- At pool setup it looks up and records the matching external pool for the token pair and tick spacing.
- Charges a hook fee on swaps, with a hard-coded maximum, though some addresses (up to four exempt slots) are fee-exempt.
- Blocks or restricts direct liquidity adds to the v4 pool, since liquidity comes from the external pool.
- Offers quote functions and a dust sweep that sends leftover tokens to a fixed vault address.
- Swap behaviour
- On each swap the hook takes over the trade with a return delta, executes it on the linked external v3-style pool, and settles the tokens with the PoolManager. A hook fee (feePips, capped by MAX_FEE_PIPS) is likely applied unless the sender is fee-exempt; exact values cannot be read from bytecode.
- Liquidity behaviour
- The beforeAddLiquidity callback likely reverts so LPs do not add liquidity directly to this v4 pool. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so any existing positions can always be withdrawn freely.
- Fee behaviour
- A hook fee in pips is charged on non-exempt swaps, bounded by a hard-coded MAX_FEE_PIPS constant whose exact value is not visible here; the external pool's own fee also applies. Leftover dust is swept to a vault address.
- Owner & admin controls
- No admin setter functions were found; fee, exempt addresses and vault appear to be fixed at deployment. sweepDust only moves leftover hook balances to the vault.
Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks
beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta
beforeInitialize: links the pool to its external v3 pool; beforeAddLiquidity: restricts direct liquidity adds; beforeSwap: routes the trade externally; beforeSwapReturnDelta: replaces the v4 swap amounts with the externally executed result.
Security & trust assessment
Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).
Who controls it: No owner or admin functions are visible; parameters appear immutable. The vault receives swept dust only.
Risk to user funds: The hook handles swap input and output during each trade and may deduct a fee up to an unverified hard-coded maximum. LP principal cannot be locked by this hook.
Security findings
- [low] Unverified swap-routing with return deltas: The hook fully controls swap amounts via return deltas and routes through an external pool; exact fee value and cap cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
- [info] Fee exemptions: Up to four hard-coded addresses appear exempt from the hook fee, so they pay less than other traders.
- [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block withdrawals.
