What it does

A Zora creator-coin hook that, on every swap, harvests LP fees, reinvests part of them as liquidity and pays the rest out as rewards to the creator, referrers and protocol in the backing currency.

How it works step by step

  • Creates a multi-curve set of concentrated liquidity positions when the creator coin's Uniswap v4 pool is initialized.
  • Collects LP fees from its positions on every swap via afterSwap.
  • Reinvests 20% of collected fees as single-sided LP positions.
  • Converts remaining fees to the payout currency through multi-hop swaps.
  • Distributes rewards to the creator, platform referrer, trade referrer, Doppler and protocol.
  • Supports liquidity migration to a new hook through a registered upgrade gate.
Swap behaviour
After each swap, collects accrued LP fees from the hook's positions, mints 20% back as LP, swaps the remaining fees to the backing currency along the coin's payout swap path, and distributes them as market rewards.
Liquidity behaviour
On initialization the hook mints a multi-curve set of concentrated positions from the coin's pool configuration, with a tail position. Liquidity is never added or removed by LPs through the hook; the hook itself owns the positions and only collects fees or burns them during a registered migration.
Fee behaviour
Pool fee is a static 1% (10000 bps). On each swap, accrued LP fees are collected from the hook's positions; 20% is re-deposited as single-sided LP positions, and the remaining 80% is swapped to the backing currency and split as market rewards among the creator payout recipient (62.5%), platform referrer (25%), trade referrer (5%), Doppler (1.25%) and protocol (remainder).
Owner & admin controls
The hook has no owner-gated setters in the verified source; the MultiOwnable utility exists in the project but CreatorCoinHook does not expose owner functions. Upgrades are routed through an external upgrade gate contract and only registered upgrade paths can migrate liquidity. No pause or fee-parameter admin controls found in the exposed ABI.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

afterInitialize, afterSwap

afterInitialize: generates and mints the coin's LP positions when the coin's pool is created (or returns early for migrations). afterSwap: collects LP fees, reinvests 20% as new LP, converts the rest to the payout currency via multi-hop swaps and distributes rewards plus emits Swapped events.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: No privileged owner key is exposed in the ABI, but the upgrade gate and trusted message sender list are set at deployment and cannot be changed by the hook itself; migration to a new hook is initiated by the coin, not by an admin.

Risk to user funds: The hook holds LP positions and transiently holds tokens during reward distribution and migration. It can move pool liquidity and send reward currency to the creator, referrers, Doppler and protocol recipients, but there is no evident path for it to block user swaps or withdraw trader funds beyond the normal pool mechanics.

Security findings

  • [info] Hook moves funds on every swap: Rewards are paid out in the backing currency and the hook takes fees from pool positions via collectFees and swaps on every afterSwap, so swap outcome and reward splits depend on the external coin and swap path contracts.
  • [low] Self-unlocking swap logic: afterSwap performs internal self-initiated swaps and modifyLiquidity calls through the pool manager, which adds gas cost and creates reentrancy-style dependency on the coin's getPayoutSwapPath return value.
  • [medium] Migration depends on upgrade gate registry: Migration is driven by the coin's migrateLiquidity and an upgrade gate; if the upgrade gate's registered paths are compromised, liquidity could be burned and re-minted under a different hook.
