What it does

A launchpad fee hook that charges every buy and sell a fixed 0.30% to 5.00% fee in the quote token for the pool's creator/platform splitter, exempts only the launch dev buy, restricts who can add liquidity, and refuses swaps that push price out of the launch range.

This read was written for the hook 0x15e5…a8cc on BNB Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Charges a fixed per-pool trading fee between 0.30% and 5.00%, always collected in the quote (money) token, on both buys and sells.
  • Sends accrued fees to a per-pool splitter address fixed at registration; anyone can trigger the payout, but the destination cannot be changed.
  • Only lets registered launch pools open, and only at a price inside the launch's liquidity range.
  • Restricts adding liquidity to the platform's LiquidityLocker plus any addresses the admin approves; withdrawals are never blocked by the hook.
  • Refuses swaps that would push the price past the launch range's empty edge, plus partial fills and zero-amount swaps; the creator's launch dev buy is fee-free.
Swap behaviour
Every swap pays the pool's fixed fee (0.30% to 5.00% of the gross quote amount), taken from the quote you spend on buys or from the quote you receive on sells, with exact-out trades grossed up so they cost the same. Swaps are reverted if they would leave the price outside the launch range, if a fee-charged trade only partially fills, or if nothing moves; only the platform's dev-buy contract pays no fee.
Liquidity behaviour
Adding liquidity is only allowed for the LiquidityLocker and admin-approved adders; everyone else is refused. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block or charge withdrawals, though the launch's own position is held by a locker that never removes it.
Fee behaviour
Each pool has a fixed hook fee set once at registration within 0.30% to 5.00%, and the pool's own LP fee must be 0%. Fees accrue in the quote token as claims and are redeemed to that pool's fixed splitter (creator/platform).
Owner & admin controls
The factory admin can add new factories (which can register new pools with fees capped at 5%), approve or revoke extra liquidity adders, and hand off the admin role. No one can change an existing pool's fee, splitter, or range, and there is no pause.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: only registered pools can open, at a price inside the range; beforeAddLiquidity: limits who can add liquidity; beforeSwap: takes the fee when the quote is the specified side; afterSwap: takes the fee from quote output, enforces the range edge and full fills; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct the fee from swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: low (verified source, high confidence).

Who controls it: A platform factory admin key (no timelock) can add factories and approve liquidity adders, affecting only new pools and who may add liquidity. It cannot alter existing pool fees, recipients, or pause trading.

Risk to user funds: The hook only takes the fixed 0.30% to 5.00% fee from swaps, paid to a fixed splitter. It cannot touch LP principal or block withdrawals.

Security findings

  • [info] Fee hard-capped at 5%: Fees are fixed per pool at registration between 0.30% and 5.00% and can never be changed afterwards.
  • [low] Liquidity adding is gated: Only the locker and admin-approved addresses can add liquidity; approved adders' liquidity earns trades without paying the hook fee on their part of fills.
  • [info] Large sells can be refused: Sells that would push price beyond the range edge revert entirely; sellers must sell a smaller amount.
  • [info] Withdrawals not hookable: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook cannot block LP withdrawals.
