What it does

A launchpad hook that charges a per-token swap fee, likely higher for early buyers during an anti-sniper window, and sends it to a fee vault, while limiting who can add liquidity and never blocking withdrawals.

This read was written for the hook 0x9c1c…b8ec on Robinhood Chain and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Acts as a launchpad hook for new token pools, storing a per-token configuration and tracking whether each token has graduated.
  • Applies a sniper-protection window after launch, during which swap fees appear to be elevated (a decaying anti-sniper fee).
  • Takes a fee from swaps through swap return deltas and credits it as Uniswap v4 claim tokens to a fee vault.
  • Restricts pool setup, liquidity adds and donations to the hook's own flow (a designated locker/settlement contract).
  • Lets a privileged locker contract mark a token as graduated, likely ending launch-phase rules.
Swap behaviour
On each swap the hook checks the token's config and the current fee (possibly higher during the sniper window), then deducts that fee from the swap amounts via return deltas and mints it to the fee vault. Exact fee percentages and decay schedule cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
Liquidity behaviour
Adding liquidity and donations go through a check that likely only allows the launchpad's locker to add. Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block or charge LP withdrawals.
Fee behaviour
Charges a dynamic swap fee readable per token via a current-fee view, likely higher during the anti-sniper window and lower afterwards; the fee is minted as claim tokens to a fee vault. Exact percentages and caps are not verifiable from bytecode.
Owner & admin controls
No classic owner functions were found; a fixed locker contract can set per-token state such as graduation. Fee vault, settlement and locker addresses appear immutable.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeInitialize, afterInitialize, beforeAddLiquidity, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeDonate, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeInitialize: validates new pools are launchpad pools; afterInitialize: records token config and sniper window; beforeAddLiquidity: gates who may add liquidity; beforeSwap: computes fee and may take it from input; afterSwap: may take fee from output; beforeDonate: gates donations; beforeSwapReturnDelta/afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook deduct swap fees.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A hard-coded locker contract controls per-token configuration and graduation; no upgradeable proxy or generic owner was detected.

Risk to user funds: The hook can take a fee from swap amounts, sent to the fee vault, with the exact maximum unknown from bytecode. It cannot touch LP principal on withdrawal or lock withdrawals.

Security findings

  • [medium] Unverified swap fee deduction: The hook can deduct tokens from swaps via return deltas, and the fee levels, including during the sniper window, cannot be confirmed from bytecode alone.
  • [info] Gated liquidity adds: Adding liquidity appears restricted to the launchpad's locker flow, so outside LPs may not be able to add.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: Remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled in the hook address, so withdrawals cannot be blocked or charged by the hook.
