What it does

A token-launch hook that charges a capped, stage-based swap fee, with higher fees for early snipers and high-priority MEV transactions, and splits the fees among the creator, the platform, buybacks, holder dividends and trader cashback, while LPs keep unrestricted withdrawals.

This read was written for the hook 0x8b54…c0cc on Ethereum and reused here: the two share a code shape, so constants such as fees, owners and addresses can differ.

How it works step by step

  • Runs token launches on Uniswap v4 pools, with each registered pool tied to a creator, a configurable fee schedule (stages) and anti-sniping settings.
  • Charges a swap fee that can change over time and by trade direction. Fee limits exist as constants in the code, but their exact values cannot be read from bytecode alone.
  • Splits the collected fees between the token creator, the platform, a buyback-and-burn pot, a holder dividend pot and trader cashback/rewards.
  • Applies extra charges or limits to early 'sniper' buys and to transactions paying high priority fees (MEV protection), up to capped amounts.
  • Lets anyone trigger fee payouts (pay the creator, push dividends, push platform fees, buyback-burn), and lets traders claim their accrued rewards.
Swap behaviour
On each swap the hook computes a fee from the pool's current stage, the trade direction, the time since launch (anti-snipe window) and the transaction's priority fee, then takes that fee from the swap amounts using return deltas. Per-window buy amounts are tracked per wallet, which may limit or surcharge early buyers.
Liquidity behaviour
No liquidity callbacks are enabled, so LPs can add and withdraw freely and the hook cannot block withdrawals.
Fee behaviour
The swap fee is dynamic and bounded by hard-coded minimum and maximum constants, with a separate cap on the MEV and sniper surcharges. Exact percentages are not visible in bytecode. Fees are split between the creator (a fixed creator share), the platform, buyback and dividend pots (each capped), and optional trader cashback (capped by a maximum).
Owner & admin controls
A deployer/factory role can set the factory and router addresses, register pools, set creators, and set the cashback rate up to a hard-coded maximum. Fee schedules are fixed when a pool is registered, within the constant bounds.

Enabled Uniswap v4 callbacks

beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta

beforeSwap: works out the stage, sniper and MEV fee and takes it from the input; afterSwap: records buys, splits fees into pots and credits cashback; beforeSwapReturnDelta and afterSwapReturnDelta: let the hook take its fee directly from swap amounts.

Security & trust assessment

Risk level: medium, estimated (decoded bytecode, medium confidence).

Who controls it: A deployer/factory controls pool registration, the router and factory addresses, creator assignment and the cashback rate within a hard-coded maximum. No pause or drain function was found.

Risk to user funds: The hook takes a capped but unverified share of each swap and holds the accrued fee pots until they are paid out. LP principal stays in the PoolManager and cannot be locked or drained.

Security findings

  • [medium] Unverified dynamic swap fee: The hook takes fees from swaps via return deltas, using MIN/MAX fee and snipe/MEV cap constants whose exact values cannot be confirmed from bytecode.
  • [low] Anti-snipe and MEV surcharges: Early buys and transactions with high priority fees can pay higher fees for a limited number of blocks, within capped amounts.
  • [info] LP withdrawals unrestricted: The remove-liquidity callbacks are disabled, so the hook can never block or charge LP withdrawals.
